Program Overview
The program will take place over two weekends in December. It is a four day program with 3 hours per day. Half of the first day (1.5 hours) and third day (1.5 hours) free for everyone to attend. The rest of the program will only be for rest only for paid participants.

The Governance for Directors in India program is designed for Chairpersons, Managing Directors, Directors, CFOs, CEOs, Company Secretaries, Chartered Accountants, Academia, Consultants and other Senior Executives who are keen to serve on Boards. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Serving non-executive directors and aspiring independent directors of boards.
- Directors wanting to develop their knowledge and skills before joining the board.
- Newly appointed Directors wishing to establish their role and responsibilities on the board.
- Experienced directors wanting to bring best practices to their companies and gain up-to-the-minute knowledge, on a range of business and legal issue.

The program will tread a balance between theory and practice. You will have the opportunity to learn about and understand corporate governance in the context of global best practices. This will also enable discussions about governance in practice.

Workshops and Case Studies will help you improve your understanding of governance with real examples and engagement in content.

Amita Gupta Katragadda
Partner, CAM
Amita has a varied skill set and a strong track record in Corporate M&A, Disputes and Governance. She also has significant experience in mergers & acquisitions, nuanced commercial litigation with a special focus on shareholder disputes. Amita has a keen understanding of governance issues from a business and legal perspective, and regularly advises listed companies on corporate governance matters, including advising on the most high-profile governance conflicts in India. She is an integral part of the Firm’s Corporate Governance Centre and Policy Practice. Economic Times has voted Amita in the “40 Under Forty India’s Hottest Business Leaders 2019. Asian Legal Business has ranked Amita in the “40 under 40” list in 2019, which profiles 40 of the most accomplished lawyers in Asia under 40 years of age.

Anchal Dhir
Partner, CAM
Anchal focuses on advising listed companies, their sponsors, and investors on a broad range of issues that include M&A, corporate restructurings, and securities laws. Given her extensive experience of advising various stakeholders in the listed space, she is an integral part of the Firm’s corporate governance initiatives and advisory practice. She regularly advises boards of listed Indian companies, including on matters of governance and crisis management. IFLR 1000 has ranked Anchal as a “Notable Practitioner” for M&A.

APPLICANTS
We recommend that participants have an undergraduate degree, but it is not mandatory. Ideally, participants should have minimum 5 Yrs of Management Experience. We recommend a high level of English proficiency.

CERTIFICATE
At the end of the program, each participant who pays for the program will receive a certificate of participation provided they attend 100% of the program.
