Dr. Chime Youdon is a leading expert on climate change and maritime security in the India and Indo-Pacific. Dr. Youdon holds a doctorate in comparative global climate change policies from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, fuels her research and policy efforts. As Research Fellow and Head of the Blue Economy and Climate Change Cluster at the National Maritime Foundation in New Delhi, she spearheads research on building resilience for coastal communities and critical maritime infrastructure in the face of climate threats. This focus is evident in her recently published monograph, “Rising Seas and Coastal Impacts: Metropolitan Resilience in India”, which offers crucial solutions for megacities. Currently, she leads a collaborative project with Keio University and CDRI on building a systemic risk assessment model for seaport ecosystems, further strengthening critical infrastructure. Dr Youdon advocates for sustainability through nature-based solutions and the advancement of the blue economy, all while maintaining holistic maritime security in the changing climate landscape of the Indo-Pacific. She actively contributes to expert working groups, playing key roles like the QUAD working group on Seaport Resilience with CDRI. Her expertise extends to policymaking, having served on the Sustainable Blue Economy Committee during India’s G20 Presidency. Her impactful work has been recognized through prestigious fellowships like the CDRI Fellowship (2021-2022) and the Admiral KK Nayyar Fellowship (2020-2023).
Chandra is a passionate creator with an empathetic business sense and an entrepreneur who left a high flying career in the US, to chase an Indian dream. He has been involved in establishing several companies since 1996. His ventures have ranged from IT Services, Digital Media operations, Manufacturing and Training. As the Chairman of Pairee, he oversees several investments made by the company.
Prior to Pairee, Chandra was the Founder and Managing Director of Theorem India, which he started with just two people in 2002 and grew it to over 1300+ people globally spread across 4 continents, serving several global blue chip brands and establishing a sprawling campus in Mysore before leaving at the end of 2013. Chandra also enjoys investing, advising and mentoring start-up companies and is on the board of a several such companies. He is also passionate about giving back to the society. His Pairee Foundation is helping educate the rural youth of India and making them job ready. Chandra holds a Masters degree in Industrial Management from Northern Illinois University, Chicago and a BE degree from Bangalore University. He is a leading voice in the IT Industry and regularly speaks at global conferences. He is also an active member of various industry groups in the technology world.
